Public bug reported:

Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
After I put my laptop to sleep and return from sleep, the networking
does not work. If I try sudo ifup eth0 it does not work. Network
manager reports that there are no network interfaces found. Hibernate
works fine, but the only way to fix this after sleep is to restart the
computer.

The laptop is a Gateway m505x, with intel wireless 2100 and realtek
rtl-8139.
