I've downloaded latest release

Flight 6 - released Mar 31 2006

and it fail again. I've to add “acpi=off”

The exact machine is

Acer TravelMate 3210WXCi

There are some Travelmates which has additional Acer's effort to be Windows exclusive, for example, the reported model now has the WLan turned off until W$ enable it, previous models start w/it turned on and the problem exist only after the kill switch was pressed.
