Public bug reported:

Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 acpi-support (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
     Assignee: Matthew Garrett
         Status: Fix Released

Description:
Today I decided to find why hibernation didn't work on my laptop (HP
Pavilion dv4275). I'm currently using Kubuntu dapper.

The laptop goes to hibernation just well, but hang with a blank screen
on resume. I thought that i was caused by the fglrx driver, but even
when using free drivers it was broken.

Then, I took some time booted in failsafe mode and experimented loading
one more module at a time. Finally, I think that I've found the culprit,
it seems to be vga16fb. It's automatically loaded because of usplash.
After removing "splash" from the kernel command line hibernation works
like a charm.

Current kernel version is 2.6.15-14-386.
