Public bug reported:
Affects: linux-source-2.6.12 linux-image-2.6.12-10-k7 (Ubuntu)
Severity: Normal
Priority: (none set)
Status: Unconfirmed
Description:
The device is an Xclef HD-500 mp3 player. After plugging it in, I left
it for a while but it never showed up as a scsi device. After a while I
unplugged it and I got a kernel oops. From then on any program trying to
access the usb buss got locked in uninterruptable sleep (for example,
CUPS and lsusb). The only way to fix this is to reboot the machine.
This happens about one in about three times that I hook the device up to
the computer.
