Description:
Ubuntu 5.10 standard install, Upgraded to amd64-k8-smp kernel, when i rebooted, i loaded the new kernel with grub and it loads as normal untill it gets to syncing clock with ntp.ubuntu.....
then it just locks and does nothing.
everything works fine with a non-smp kernel.
hardware:
Motherboard: GIGABYTE K8NF9 (nForce4 Chipset)
CPU: AMD64 x2 4200
RAM: 1.5gb Unbranded DDR400
Network: Onboard nForce4 1Gbit
WireLess: MSI PC54G2 (PCI) (Ralink RT2500 Chipset)
