Summary: Atheros card not working during install on IBM thinkpad
T43
Product: Ubuntu
Version: unspecified
Platform: i386
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: linux-restricted-modules
AssignedTo: daniel.stone at ubuntu.com
ReportedBy: blixtra at gmail.com
QAContact: kernel-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com
I've got a thinkpad T43 with a built-in atheros card. The Breezy install never
loads the ath_pci driver and I'm therefore without a connection during install.
After install, however, I'm able to use the Gnome Networking tool to set it up
with out installing anything extra.
Seems like if it's on the CD it should be available at install time, too.
The T43 usually comes with a Centrino chip.
