Will the release feature other version of GTK? Great. And I read recently
something about forking Sid once in six months and testing it then. Now I start
to see the real development model - let the chips fall as they may...

Maybe so. Which makes it unworkable not for all users, but (maybe) for users of
6800-based cards. That doesn't make it any better in terms of QA.
