This bug is not restricted to menu items. I have a few folders that disappear
from nautilus regularly (I've been trying to track it down for about a week,
until I found this bug). I downloaded the inotify test tool and I'm getting the
same event posted above. I haven't noticed any particular pattern to which
folders disappear, but I have a few that do it reliably if left open in a
nautilus window for a few hours, and others that never do.
