I have the same. This is the second time I had this kind of buggy update.
When I googled I read it might have something to do with the VIA-chipset. I've
got VIA-chipset, IDE hdd (secondairy master), PIII, nothing special.

I did a diff on the 2.6.10-config and the new one 2.6.12 and there is a lot of
difference! A lot of settings which were 'not set' before are now set. I don't
know if I like that.
