Your DVD drive seems to be attached to the shasta-ata bus, which should be
supported by the built-in pmac IDE driver. Your harddrive is connected to the
k2-sata bus, which should be supported by the sata_svw module that is with the
kernel.

Does "dmesg | grep -i IDE" show anything at all?
