Did you not read the previously replies properly? In case u didnt. I rewrite my
experience.

I burned the iso to a cd. Tried to install from my 740A, didnt work, stopped at
e2fsprogs-udeb.
I put the _exactly_ same cd in an external Lacie USB-recorder and it installs...
Bad CD? 100% not the cause.

Just buy a drive with that chipset and try it for yourself!
