Summary: Reboot and hotkeys stopped to work since 2.6.10-5-38
Product: Ubuntu
Version: unspecified
Platform: i386
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: kernel-package
AssignedTo: ben.collins at ubuntu.com
ReportedBy: laurent.pelecq at soleil.org
QAContact: kernel-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com
This may be a duplicate of other reports such as #17963 or #16206. But symptoms
are not exactly the same.
I have ACPI problem on a ibm thinkpad t22 since I upgraded on hoary to kernel
linux-image-2.6.10-5-386.
Shutdown is not working. The disk stops but the machine doesn't power off.
Hotkeys are no longer working.
This is still broken in Breezy with 2.6.12-9. However if I use the old 2.6.10-4
without any other change in Breezy, everything works fine as before (same
parameters).
It doesn't change anything to add pci=noacpi, nolapic, noapic.
