Summary: pcmcia Ralink RT2500 driver freezes laptop while working
                    on batteries
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: linux
        AssignedTo: ben.collins at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: jeremy.vies.linux at gmail.com
         QAContact: kernel-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

Since Breezy, the rt2500 driver is included in Ubuntu. The version seems to be a
CVS one from 06/2005.
The pcmcia card works fine while the laptop is on wire, but freezes as soon as
it is on batteries.

I already noticed this bug on Hoary, when I used CVS drivers compiled by myself.
The problem was corrected this summer, but I can't tell you exactly when.

By the way, the laptop is a Compaq Presario 2144ea, with a yenta pcmcia socket.
