No.
> If not, try "modprobe snd_hda_intel".
This triggers a following output:
WARNING: Error running install command for snd
WARNING: Error running install command for snd
WARNING: Error running install command for snd_pcm
WARNING: Error running install command for snd
WARNING: Error running install command for snd_pcm
here goes the trace, over 1 screen long, followed by:
[4295052.778000] sh: line 1: 3651 Segmentation fault modprobe
--ignore-install snd-hda-intel
FATAL: WARNING: Error running install command for snd_hda_intel
And the sh prompt is back.
I tried to pipe whole the output, with the trace, into a file with "modprobe
snd_hda_intel 2>&1 | tee /var/log/log.log" (having passed "rw" to grub first)
but when I do so there is surpringly no any output on the screen nor in the
file! I wonder why??? I'm not to eager to type it all here manually, and I don't
have the camera at hand until next week. Shall I take the photo when I do and
send it here? Or is there some way to pipe the output into a file?
NOTE: when I issue modprobe snd_hda_intel now for the second (and any
subsequent) time, I only get:
WARNING: Error running install command for snd
WARNING: Error running install command for snd
WARNING: Error running install command for snd_pcm
WARNING: Error running install command for snd
WARNING: Error running install command for snd_pcm
... no segfault, the sh prompt is back.
