I've a HP NX8220, ubuntu 2.6.12-9-386 with ipw220 1.0.6.
With some data load (ftp or similar) the driver behaves erratically and, after
restarting, return operational only with:

ifdown eth0
ifup eth0

cycle, just to block again after few megabytes...

the dmesg part concerning the ipw is:

[4294706.408000] ipw2200: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200/2915 Network Driver, 1.0.6
[4294706.408000] ipw2200: Copyright(c) 2003-2004 Intel Corporation
