It seems that b44 (on my Dell Inspiron 8600) detects the link-state (up/down)
incorrectly, in particular it reacts differently after a cold and soft reboot,
so the hardware initialization might not be correct / complete.
The official Broadcom driver (bcm4400.ko) does not exhibit this problem.
