Definitely not fixed...

"needinfo" ?! Hell, I though I gave quite a few details no ?! 
If you need more info just ask, I will delighted to help smooth things out, as
the current support for ZIP drives is appalingly rough to say the least, and has
badly deteriorated since Hoary, things are going backwards...

Well, if I understand you well, the kernel is not at fault here, since it is not
impossible to read and write to my ZIP drives ? Still, there many other, higher
level problems, so please don't close my bug ! ;-)
