Recently ATI has released updated drivers (version 8.19.10).

These drivers are quite revolutionary for laptop users.  They include support
for PowerPlay as well as working Suspsend/Resume.

I have manually installed using ATI's installer and removing
linux-restricted-modules, and verified that the drivers work well under Dapper
Drake.
