Ubuntu | kernel-package

Summary: usb error msg at boot using smp kernel
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: ia64
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: kernel-package
        AssignedTo: ben.collins at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: ubuntu.5.pjoyez at spamgourmet.com
         QAContact: kernel-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

I have a recent Dell P4 computer and a fresh Breezy install.

I decided to give a try at the smp kernel (linux-image-2.6.12-9-686-smp in
synaptic), which according to the wiki should enable the use of HT on my
processor (I wonder why it isn't selected automatically at install...).

At boot, just after the "Loading, please wait" I get an error message which I
did not have with the I386 kernel :
[4294674.455000] usb 1-1: device not accepting address 2, error -71

But this might be only a minor problem since usb seems to be working normally.
