More info to help.
Here's what i get when i first boot after the install:
scsi_proc_hostdir_add: proc_mkdir failed for <NULL>
pivot_root: No such file or directory
/sbin/init: 428: cannot open dev/console: No such file
Kernel panic = not syncing: Ateempted to kill init!
If i boot in recovery mode, i get the following:
