        OS/Version: other
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2

I have just installed linux-image-2.6.12-1-686 on my Asus laptop W1000Na but
this kernel does not boot.
It starts booting allright, but when reaches the point "starting hotplug" it
just powers off immediately.
Sometimes it does a reboot only to reach this point and poweroff/reboot again.
It does not freeze, no panic, just poweroff or reboot.
On the same lapop the 2.6.12 kernel from demudi works just fine.
