no error messages, nothing suspect in dmesg

my powerpc machine is a 1ghz 15inch titanium powerbook
uname -a
Linux titania 2.6.10-5-powerpc #1 Tue Apr 5 12:44:32 UTC 2005 ppc GNU/Linux

i'll give it a try on a via epia mini itx and see what happens.
