I remember reading sometime back in an article by Joe Barr on Newsforge of a
MAJOR disagreement between Torvalds and Schilling (the author of cdrecord)
over the state of the cdrecord code (Torvald's gripe) and the way it interacted
with the scsi parts of the kernel (Schilling's gripe). Perhaps there is a
connection.
