           Summary: black screen booting 2.6.10-34.3
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: linux-meta
        AssignedTo: debzilla at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: pablordlinux at yahoo.es
         QAContact: kernel-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

I have Ubuntu in my laptop (Centrino).

Since I upgraded the system yesterday (just the linux-image was upgraded), I
can't boot with the Ubuntu kernel. I can enter in GRUB, choose the kernel, and
then the screen goes black and nothing happens (just the microprocessor works at
100%, which didn't use to with the previous kernels). Using a Debian kernel,
I've booted Ubuntu, and tried to install the kernel for 386 (I was trying with
686), but same result.

The packages I've installed in my system are:
ii linux-image-2.6.10-5-386 2.6.10-34.3
Linux kernel image for version 2.6.10 on 386.
ii linux-image-2.6.10-5-686 2.6.10-34.3
Linux kernel image for version 2.6.10 on PPro/Celeron/PII/PIII/PIV.
ii linux-image-386 2.6.10-7
              Linux kernel image on 386.
ii linux-image-686 2.6.10-7
              Linux kernel image on PPro/Celeron/PII/PIII/PIV.
