Hello,

The installer does not boot correctly with sis chipset based graphic card. It
displays something like a bird-shit-pie on the screen. Knoppix enable
framebuffer with 2.4 kernel (up from 2.4.19, not sure).

This is very bad : people need to type linux debian-installer/framebuffer=false
with a us keymap which is not user-friendly ... And i want to cry because i
can't install splashy without a home-compiled kernel ...
