Ok first of all thank you,
So in order to use my card, I simply have to update to a version that doesn't
exist, or better that it's not out there yet, I have to wait for months to use
something that it's in my pc, don't get me wrong please, I know about ubuntu
policy about stability etc. etc. but, it's only matter of recompiling alsa
drivers (1.0.8 like other alsa libs included in hoary, don't know which version
is included in 2.6.10 kernel) including this one.
I think that this policy it's too strict, maybe updating at least minor releases
shouldn't be a big problem, and keeps the system far from this and, for example
the firefox issue, this update maybe should be done only with some packages, but
I think that can improve ubuntu experience
