I agree it's big, but i personally don't think it's even possible to make it generic
(at least looking at the code).

Anyway i thinkt this bug would be more appropriate as fb-modules wishlist to add sis
or for d-i to set framebuffer=false if a sis card is detected. I have no way to
"shrink" the module.
