Ubuntu | linux-restricted-modules
Summary: linux-restricted-modules-* is uninstallable
Product: Ubuntu
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: linux-restricted-modules
AssignedTo: daniel.stone at ubuntu.com
ReportedBy: paul at kungfoocoder.org
QAContact: kernel-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com
I originally figured that I just needed to wait a little longer, however this
has been broken for a few weeks. There are two packages that would be really
nice to come from this:
linux-restricted-modules-2.6.12-3-*
nvidia-glx
nividia-glx also cannot be installed at the moment because of the x.org
libglu1c2 transition. However both of the aforementioned modules come from the
same source package.
Cheers,
Paul

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
linux-restricted-modules-686-smp: Depends:
linux-restricted-modules-2.6.12-3-686-smp but it is not installable
E: Broken packages
