Quick followup: I got the vendor driver to compile successfully against the
Breezy 2.6.12 as follows
Copy the relevant /boot/config-2.6.12**** file to /usr/src/linux (the 2.6.12
source tree) as .config
Edit the new .config file and search for SK98LIN
In Breezy now it is commented out. Change to compile as a module (use the SKGE
line above as a template)
The vendor install.sh should now work PROVIDING you have gcc-3.4 installed.
As root "rmmod skge" and "modprobe sk98lin"
ifup eth0

works perfectly!
