Whenever I try using Grub as a boot manager I get the following error:
Booting 'Ubuntu, kernel ...'
root (hd1,0)
Filesystem type unknown, partition type 0x7
I've never bothered trying to fix this as I've always known lilo to work. I had
the same error while using Mandriva and Grub as bootloader. As for if I'm sure
that my computer is booting from hdb, fairly. I keep separate bootloaders for
Linux and Windows, so I have to specify which device I want to boot from (I've
had some bad experience using the same bootloader for both windows and linux).
