For comparing, the old 2.6.12 kernel shows the following messages (after
manually modprobing prism2_usb due to new udev world order):

There are some further messages that appear after ifup'ing the device, I'll
attach the full dmesg output again.

With 2.6.12, the iwconfig output is correct:

(I do not actually get a signal at the place I tested this at, so the missing
signal is correct).
