Ahh, nice catch. I had a DVD in the drive both with the old module (errors
galore), and the new module (no errors). Removing the DVD from the drive does
indeed lead to a sudden flood of slightly different errors with the new module:
[17227878.284000] ata2: command error, drv_stat 0x51 host_stat 0x25
[17227878.296000] ata2: command error, drv_stat 0x51 host_stat 0x0
(lather, rinse, repeat)
