I had a couple more crashes, but with no traces in the log files after a reboot.
(I hadn't thought about changing /etc/syslog.conf to remove the '-' in front of
kern.log.) I then upgraded to Breezy on Dec 03. No crashes so far.
I do not want to upgrade to Dapper before it is released, but I can try upgrading
just the kernel, if it doesn't have dependencies on newer userspace. (And if it
won't
try to eat my hard disks or something.)
