Summary: 2.6.15 kernel locks hard when downloading
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: linux
        AssignedTo: ben.collins at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: dude2425 at gmail.com
         QAContact: kernel-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

Whenever I'm downloading from the internet using the 2.6.15 kernel, it locks up.
I can't even hit the caps-lock or num-lock on my keyboard to get the little LED
to light up. I use an old D-Link DWL-G520
(http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=12), and I am pretty sure it has something
to do with SMP enabled by default, and the madwifi drivers found in the
restricted modules. I tryed the 2.6.12 SMP enabled kernel with the same results,
but the non-SMP worked just fine. The only way to fix this is to do a hard reboot.
