           Summary: kernel-image-*-di still provides ext2-modules
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: P2
         Component: linux
        AssignedTo: ben.collins at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: cjwatson at ubuntu.com
         QAContact: kernel-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

Even though ext2 is no longer modular, kernel-image-*-di.udeb still provides
ext2-modules; this provides is intended to indicate to d-i that a particular
module is built into the kernel. The effect of this is to cause the live CD
build process to omit the ext2-modules udeb since it thinks that the
kernel-image udeb will do just fine, which in turn totally breaks the live CD
because it's unable to mount the compressed loop filesystem.

I'll explicitly seed ext2-modules for now, but please remove this provides in
your next upload.
