This reminds me a bug I have not reported yet. If I plug the USB mouse
afterwards, the optical light is on but the cursor won't move, either in GDM
login screen or Gnome. Starting the computer with the mouse plugged makes it
work. I can remove and replug it afterwards and it will still work.

I guess it is unrelated so I'll write a complete report with my debug analysis
when I have enough time.
