           Summary: linux-image-2.6.10-5-686 broke unsuspend
           Product: Ubuntu
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: other
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: kernel-package
        AssignedTo: ben.collins at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: anthony at interlink.com.au
         QAContact: kernel-bugs at lists.ubuntu.com

Last week's kernel upgrade (from hoary-security) has hosed suspend (or rather,
unsuspend) on this Dell 5150. Before the upgrade, suspend and unsuspend worked
perfectly. After it, a whole bunch of stuff doesn't work properly:

- I can't use the onboard wired ethernet (using the b44 driver). The box has a
Broadcom Corporation BCM4401 100Base-T (rev 01). It also has an Intel miniPCI
wireless card using the ipw2200 driver, this still works. After an unsuspend,
the eth0 device is there, but it won't see any packets, so dhclient of course
fails. "rmmod b44; modprobe b44" doesn't make it better.
- Burning CDs doesn't work. k3b just gives an error "can't unlock drive",
whatever the heck that means.
- Sometimes the sound doesn't work.

Rebooting works, but is massively inconvenient.

Before this kernel upgrade, all of this stuff was working perfectly. My hwdb ID
is e9247dd452b15d6d04aab7366aa5fc80
