It's possible that your hardware simply fails to send ACPI events for AC status
changes. If so, there's little we can do. On the other hand, some changes that
could affect ACPI events have recently been made to the kernel that may improve
things for you. If you could try the latest 2.6.13-rc kernel from kernel.org,
that would be helpful.
