I am also seeing this problem with my IBM t42, using the same ipw2200 driver.

I am running hoary, with all current packages, updated religiously on first boot.

If there is anything I can do to help, let me know.  This is VERY important to me.

It worked fine in Warty, but with my reinstall and upgrade to hoary this has
been a constant problem.
