the evbug module is loaded at boot by default in the 2.6.8.1 kernels. After 3
weeks of using my machine the log files 'debug', 'syslog' and 'kern.log' were
each 2.4Gb. evbug.ko is installed at /lib/modules/<kernel
version>/kernel/drivers/input and loaded at boot. I fixed this problem by
removing this file and running depmod. Another solution is to add evbug to
hotplug black list. I know this to be true for at least the
linux-image-2.6.8.1-3-386 and the linux-image-2.6.8.1-5-686-smp packages, i am
assuming the same will be true for the other kernels. note the 386 kernel is the
one installed by default.
