I created a small bash script for the same purpose a few months ago.

But juju-sos is neat and promising!

As a side note, nodes which are precise and are deployed with
fastpath-installer do not have -backports apt-line. It can be enabled
in advance with the commend:
$ juju run --all \
    'echo deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu precise-backports universe \
        | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list \
    && sudo apt-get update'
