To get introduced I would start reviewing the charm proof errors in
the queue. Once you get comfortable you'll be well eqipped to start
authoring charms.  Also please give us any feedback on the
juju.ubuntu.com/docs. Specifically any points that aren't clear or
could be expaned on.  Contirubuting to the docs info is at:
