I had to modify my .ssh/config to look like this:

Host 10.55.58.* 10.55.60.* 10.55.62.* 10.55.63.* *.canonistack
*.canonistack2
    ProxyCommand ssh chinstrap.canonical.com nc -q0 %h %p

I had some of those hosts, but not all of them.
