Next 2.1 release to be beta5 not rc1

Hi all,

Based on a number of key issues with beta4, and the nature of some of 
the networking changes that will be landing at the start of next week, 
it is clear that the next release isn't a release candidate, as we need 
to make sure we have dealt with the issues.

I'm not a fan of calling things that they are not, and calling the next 
release of 2.1 a release candidate would just be wrong.

The target release date for 2.1-beta5 is 2017-01-26 (yay ISO8601).
