This ec2 problem you mentioned, about TLS, it may also be happening with
openstack's SSL, at least canonistack. I get random connection errors to
swift, usually when deploying charms. I suspect it's the longer connection
required to upload stuff. I have a case where I upload a big(ish) tarball
inside the charm (5Mb).
I'm on raring with go 1.0.2.
