Yeah: we are definitely still in the changing-fast stage, and I do not
at this point want to commit to working upgrades of live environments. I
think that aiming for a release at v2.0.0 is clean and sensible, and I
anticipate at least one backward-incompatible change before then.

As long as we're explicit about expected incompatibility across versions
in the release notes, I'm ok with dropping "experimental".
