I would say you could go rather small in general, to allow people to
add what they want and just have it still work. And still never have
to worry about collisions inside the same account.

Is nice and short, and still has 32-bits of entropy.

I think we have the long one just because we already had a UUID
generator, and we just went with it. (Makes more sense for passwords,
huge overkill for unique bucket selection.)
