morning status 2-oct-2012

I'm really rather tired, and haven't taken a swap day from Lisbon yet,
so I think today should be the day. This is also convenient because I am
0x21 today, and will be able to do some celebratory chores.

I've responded to https://codereview.appspot.com/6589045/ (and the
other, but there's no controversy there) and would appreciate further
comments.

I will attend the meeting this afternoon.

We *must* talk about the relation API in state. The ongoing watcher
changes mean that I will be getting lists of IDs, but there's no API in
place for turning an ID into a Relation. We need to fix this, and I
worry that the Right Thing will involve more rework. I'll try to grab
someone to discuss this with later.
