It think it would be very interesting to have ubuntu specific
repackaged drivers that can be install on machines that we *know* are
properly set up to work in ubuntu. Im having the hardest time
switching to ubuntu because me radeon 9700 pro is reconized as a 9500
pro and its preformance is L A C K I N G. Else is there any group out
there that are making their own open source ati drivers that are able
to support direct rendering and work proprely. I would think this
would be a HUGE asset to ubuntu..
