Now I have identified the mess and tried to fix it.
Have run Boot-Repair several times with different variants but it can't do this.
One variant starts copying internally and runs out of disk space and crashes.
Here's the problem:
Ubuntu forgot to test 22.04.4 against a non UEFI pc. This is a big mistake and affects everyone without UEFI.
Hope you change so users with 22.04 LTS and higher are not asked to upgrade to 24.04.4 without checking UEFI.
Otherwise they will have the same problem as me.
The solution for me was to reinstall 22.04.4 LTS, now everything is ok
Here you can get another small error sent to Snap store 22.04.4 LTS. See attachment
